See and Be Seen: The Reality of Editorial Photography and Styling

Photography is currency. And it either can either be high in value and yield meaningful growth or be worth nothing and keep your business stalled. You know how to create inspiring interiors. Now learn how to create inspiring images.

Join Traditional Home Editor Krissa Rossbund for a candid discussion on assembling the right team to produce publish-worthy photography, a designer’s greatest asset and ultimate business card. Krissa will pull back the curtain on the art and strategy behind editorial imagery, from identifying impactful angles to understanding the critical differences between accessorizing and styling, and designer and stylist—distinctions that are often misunderstood and overlooked.

Designers shape the function and flow of a space. Stylists bring a specialized skill set rooted in visual storytelling, composition, editing, and the creation of emotional impact for editorial features, showrooms, and brand recognition. Drawing from her behind-the-scenes experiences in editorial photography, Krissa will discuss how quality photography refines and elevates design. Plus, she’ll open the vault on the question that all designers want to know: how to get published.

This conversation will sharpen your eye, challenge assumptions, and help you see interiors through an entirely different lens.

FREE with paid show admission or a Friday luncheon reservation. Located in Mary's Café. Pre-registration is required.
